COTTAGE RIGHT NEXT DOOR
There's a cottage right next door.
They say it's haunted,
And there's cobwebs on the floor,
But how I want it.
To the brambles and the weeds,
I am blind.
I can see the honeysuckle
And roses in my mind.
'Though the cottage right next door
Is not a mansion,
With a child, or two, or more,
We'd plan expansion.
There will be a lucky day,
When our dreams all come true,
And the cottage right next door
Is painted up for me and you!
